Production Operators Sterling Heights, MI

Production Operators needed (Sterling Heights,  MI ) Tier 1 automotive supplier seeking production operators to assist machine operators.  Must be able to lift heavy materials.  Position is first shift and is temp to hire.  6:00 am – 2:00 pm Fantastic benefits once hired in!

Responsibilities of Production Operators include (but are not limited to);

• Visual inspection, light packing, sorting and tagging
• Heavy lifting is required for this position.
• Must have experience utilizing micrometers, gauges and calipers to measure parts
• Responsible for basic machine operations including cycling and setting of counting devices.
• Inspection of parts to ensure produced parts meet specifications
• Record and calculate accurate production results on the provided paperwork
• Communications with supervisor, must notify them if parts don’t meet required specifications
• Helping Machine Operators load materials into machine
• Helping remove parts from the die/machine once manufactured
• Must have previous high volume fast paced automotive/industrial experience

Requirements of Production Operator :

• High school diploma or GED
• Background check
• Drug Test
• Must have 1-3 years experience in the field or in related area
• Familiarity with stamping environment

Production Supervisor – Sterling Heights, MI

Staff Source is seeking 2nd shift Production supervisor for Manufacturing facility located in Sterling Heights. The position is M-Fri 2pm – 10pm, no overtime. Five years of supervisory experience in a metal shop or CNC production shop required.   Salary- $85,000 yearly- Direct Hire.  Fantastic Benefit package

Job Duties:

– Maintain staff by working with HR to interview, orientate, and train employees

– Coach, counsel, and discipline employees. Initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures

– Resolve personnel problems by investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action

– Maintains tooling inventory by monitoring inventory of specials and CAP unit; Orders tooling as needed

– Coordinates and monitors tooling tests

– Works with MSC and individual vendors to communicate our current needs and prioritize

– Understands and initiates Lean Manufacturing Techniques

– Knowledge of Kanban/Pull Systems

– Maintains attendance program and timekeeping through ERP system (PLEX)

– Basic maintenance disciplines (electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, etc.)

Requirements:

– 5 years of manufacturing experience and 2 years in a supervisory role

– Associates or equivalent in business, organizational development or related field

– Experience in metal and/or CNC shop
